its been a christmas from hell, for obvious reasons. i miss dad. he was the absolute fucking best, the coolest person in the entire world. regardless, i’ll spare you those details again, i’d rather talk about you right now.

i hope y’all are doing great with your families and such, even if you dont like them, you only get one, so snap the fuck out of it and give them all a big fat fucking hug from me and dont ever let them go. its mindnumblingly apparent how we only get one shot at all of this, especially on a day like today. what you do is only half the journey, who you do it with is the more important half. find those you love - be they friends, family, or simply strangers. money can burn and the wine will go stale but love will last forever.

also, some people have emailed and texted and called, and i havent had enough time to say thank you to absofucking all of you.

and give me the next couple of lines to be self deprecating: thank you all, all, all, for putting up with my maudlin scrawls the last year or so. i dont know what i would have done if i didn’t have this outlet to write -and its been one hell of an honor to do it infront of all of you. really.

and, as the guy at the bar the other night so eloquently put it, “fuck the haters”. lifes too short to let them get you down.
