Jesus, Tumblr. I really don’t see a difference between the VERY annoying ads you’re throwing on the dashboard and the very annoying Dancing Man Mortgage Payment ads, which is one step away form the early very annoying pop-up ads of the 90’s.
Tumblr doesn’t give a shit.
People look at the platform (or, rather, platforms in general) as the means to an end. A platform isn’t anything without it’s users. Once someone comes along with something better, people will go to there. It’s as simple as that.
That’s why it’s amazing to see so many articles about Facebook, or what have you. We give these companies way, way too much power. These places are nothing without their users.
