High-res Madonna was picked as “the entertainment” for halftime at the 2012 Superbowl because: It’s 1986 2012.  There is a very gay Machiavellian person very high up in the NFL decision making chain that has been pushing for this all year. The California Raisins were unavailable.   They have legally changed the definition of “entertainment” to something much, much looser.  At the end of her act, Madonna will ascend to the heavens a la the carousel of death from Logans Run.
